EPL coming to an end in the next month and its a tight race...any thoughts on how you think the season will end? Chelsea going to pull the 3-peat or Man U gonna take it?

To be honest, I'd really lost interest in the last few weeks. (in retrospect it was more to do with all the Intl. friendlies and Champion's League going on) With Charlton poking its head out of relegation and West Ham's win over Arsenal/recent form..PLUS ManU dropping points and Chelsea gaining.. it is indeed proof that this is the best way to structure a league. From top to bottom every match is crucial until the end. As for who wins it..I haven't been keeping too close a watch on the top clubs. I'm mainly looking to see if Reading qualifies for Europe (which would be amazing) and who ends up being the bottom 3. ..and if I make a surge into the top 3 in Fantasy

I don't think Reading can't make it up to Europe. Arsenal is doing their usual enough to guarantee their spot. Missing Henri, that's for sure.
I think Man U will close it out and get their 'Result'. May 9th vs. Chelsea may be an all-important show down!

ManU will win the league by the slimmest of margin....courtesy of the tie-breaker.

chelsea got in the bag for the quadruple
man united will struggle for against west ham and middlesbrough and will definately loose at leats two points between those games
and i think watford has a chance to beat em because man u will take em lightly after winning 7-1
also chelsea will surge at the end and west ham will beat out wigan for the 17th spot
lastly i think the everton (maybe), bolton, arsenal race for the 4th spot (champions League final spot) will be good

How about the Royals?
Reading takes 3 points from Bolton at the Reebok. 3-1.
I think form and schedule favor Reading.
Reading: Newcastle Watford Blackburn
Bolton: Chelsea West Ham A-V
Everton: ManU Portsmouth Chelsea

everton will beat manu so will west ham
Reading will have a good finish if they dont stumble at newcastle but watford will have all to play for since theyre already officially relegated

What an incredible morning of EPL action!
FINALS Chelsea 2-2 Bolton Everton 2-4 Manchester United (MU was down 2-0 at the 50' mark)
STANDINGS 1. 85 PTS, 27-4-4, Manchester United (35 MP, 56 GD) 2. 80 PTS, 24-3-8, Chelsea (35 MP, 40 GD)
Only three matches left for the leaders: Manchester United - @ Manchester City, @ Chelsea, WEST HAM Chelsea - @ Arsenal, MANCHESTER UNITED, EVERTON
In addition, the point earned by Bolton edges the Wanderers past Everton for fifth place -- nine points behind fourth place Arsenal.

Very cool to see the Chelsea fans reaction as they posted 1-0 and 2-0 Everton. Unreal that Chelsea were up 2-1 and ManU down 0-2 at the same time. Chelsea blew it. My favorite line by the announcer during the Chelsea-Bolton match: "For those of you watching in parts of the world where they don't play cricket, I'm not even going to try and explain it any further".

It seems very likely that Man U has just wrapped up the EPL. However if Chelsea goes on to claim the FA Cup and the Champions League I wouldn't call the campaign a total disapointment for Jose and the Blues. Winning a treble of trophies isn't to bad especially with the injuries Chelsea has dealt with this season.

....and there's only one treble and the Carling Cup (or whatever they are calling it now) is not part of it.

if man united win the epl, which could not happen since chelsea and west ham can and will beat em, then that will be the only trophy they get this season

I had the good fortune of going to an EPL game while in London on business. Scalped 4 tickets to the Arsenal vs Bolton game. Don't ask me how much! The atmosphere was incredible. Really fun. 62,000 soocerr addicts in a sea of Red. The chants ands songs were fantastic. Everyone definitely knows the sport. Surprised you can not brink beer into the seats. Have to drink on the concourse.

MAN UNITED will claim the title, as well as the FA Cup and the Champions League. The Treble will return to Manchester this year and deservedly so. The way United play is incredible with their movement off the ball and the onslaught they launch onto their opponents. MAN UTITED WILL TAKE THE TREBLE HOME!!!!

thats wats up right there. West Ham and City can't beat United and Chelsea's luck is running out nicely so Man U has the title wrapped up, they have a great chance to win the FA Cup and an even better chance to win the Champions League. Mark my words, Liverpool 2-0 over Chelsea, Man U 2-0 over Milan, Man U 2-0 over Liverpool in the final. Then Man U 2-1 in FA Cup and then cruisin to the EPL title for the treble!!

It truly is a great time! I've been fortunate enough to see Blackburn @ Blackpool and Bologna (IT) @ Chelsea on a trip to the UK in 1999 and saw the Liga Polka Championship (preseason tourney final) in 2001 between FC Schalke and Hertha Berlin in Mannheim, Germany. The flares in the stands were awesome, but a little unnerving and you are correct on the beverage consumption locale!

The UEFA games are "owned" by ESPN. I hear ya forgot to tape it myself, but they replayed it on Classic. Just remember if you are wanting to see ManU and AC it is on ESPN2 wednesday.

Setanta has the Man Utd/Chelsea game on May 9th at 3 p.m. It is a league game so there aren't "legs". Hopefully after this weekend it won't matter anyway because United will have already wrapped up the league!! I have ITVN for setanta and it is one of the best investments I have ever made. I highly recommend it. They are even showing the Championship playoffs this may!

Kyle, my girlfriend and I went to England over christmas for the boxing day-new years day games (4 in 12 days for most teams). We were able to see a london derby, fulham v west ham, at Craven Cottage on Dec 23. Then we went to Manchester to my Mecca (old trafford), we saw 2 games there, United v wigan on boxing day (dec 26th), and United v reading on dec 30. You want to talk about atmosphere?! Try 77,000 fans. The highlight of the trip was through some connections, we were able to score director's box tickets to St. James' Park (Newcastle) to watch Newcastle v Man United on new years day. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! We even met, and had a pint with Sir Bobby Charlton in the Director's box lounge!! Anyway, all 3 grounds we went to were unbelievable in their own way. If anyone is thinking about taking a trip, that is the time of year to go! You will never be able to see 4 premiership games in 2 weeks during any other time of the season.

Keepcoach, Who are these "connections", and can you introduce me? Also, if you would be so kind....send the name of your travel agent, airline, and hotel info, too? Sounds like a great way to spend a vacation!

Rosicky, My connections shall remain nameless, so as they can remain connections(kidding). It was trough a girl that plays for me at PC, a freshman goalkeeper from Charlotte who's dad is an official with NSCAA. As for my airline, we flew us air out of charlotte, non-stop (definently the way to go). We didn't use a travel agent. As for getting tickets for the big clubs i.e. arsenal, chelsea, MAN U, I would go through the club website and check out the package deals they have. That is the easiest and probably cheapest way to get tickets. We still paid about $150-$200 a ticket at Man Utd. But man was it worth it. Email me if you want to know details.

why does fox soccer go through the trouble of building up the FA Cup and not even show the final on May 19... unless im getting my dates wrong and they had a typo its not on the schedule? and setanta doesnt have it either? does anyone know if its just an error?

It's not an error. The BBC owns the rights to the FA cup final and Fox Soccer Channel and Setanta can't get it. The FA cup games that you have seen are Sky Sports. It sucks, but it is what it is. You can get it on Pay-Per-View, call your cable company and see if they are going to offer it. I am going to be watching it at a fantastic irish pub in Atlanta. Anyone willing to make the journey let me know and I will give you directions.
