From the SCHSL Handbook, Rules Section, page B-40, Boys and Girls Soccer:

"7. In the event a soccer game is called prior to completion of one half because of conditions, which makes it
impossible to continue play, the game will be resumed from the point of interruption."

Well, I guess that's settled! 1-0 to start things off...

Here is the next question since the restart of a match has been settled. Why does the High School League, National and State, need different rules for the game? Are the FIFA/USSF ones not good enough?

It's like playing two entirely different games, isn't it?

Really, starting from the point of interruption seems the most reasonable, fair way to do it...why erase everything a team has worked for just because the weather got bad? Starting over 0-0 would be quite a break for Dreher, but there's no reason to let the weather wipe out an earned goal and directly affect the outcome of the game rather than just the time of the contest. I don't have a dog in that fight...just an objective opinion.

The suspended Dreher / Flora game will be resumed Wednesday April 25 at 6:00PM.

The next question - Should the results be posted in last week's thread or this week's?

I know these questions are very tough. But someone has to have the courage to ask them.

Just a minor correction, the halves are 40 minutes, not 45.
