Kevin,
Not sure if you added in our preseason tournament. If so, we are 5-14 overall. Thanks.

We at Darlington are glad to be in for the first time since 2001. We are also very excited to be hosting a first round game. As far as we know, it is the first time in school history!

Going by this bracket..

Upper State
Greenville
JL Mann

Eastside
Flora

Riverside
Daniel

Pickens
Dreher

Lower State
Bluffton
Airport

Chapin
Myrtle Beach

Socastee
Brookland-Cayce

Wilson
N. Myrtle Beach

Upper State
Greenville
Eastside

Riverside*
Dreher

* - If Daniel had this one at home I'd give them the upset, though I'll still be pulling for them.

Lower State
Bluffton
Chapin

Socastee
N. Myrtle Beach

Upper State Championship
Greenville
Riverside

Lower State Championship
Chapin
N. Myrtle Beach*

* - Despite Socastee's string of W's..I'm going with the Chiefs. The Newt-factor, plus I think BC gives Socastee all they can handle - while NMB will be better rested.

State Final
Greenville
Chapin*

* - Get the beach teams away from the coast and they lose some of their magic (which I totally understand), and Chapin will already have two on the mantel.

State Champ - Greenville

Don't really think there is much of a shock there.

Camden beat Chester 5-2, so I beileve we would be playing Eastside, unless there is something I don't know about? Also, the scoreboard site doesn't account for three of ours wins for some reason.

Chester's two region wins are against Camden and Eau Claire. But since Eau Claire just started their varsity team, doesn't that mean they aren't region competitive, and Chester only has one region win that goes towards the playoffs?

L-E was sanctioned by the SCHSL for one "illegal practice". The illegal practice was their alumni/exhibition match played after regular season. The penalties for this one illegal practice was a $500 fine, ineligibility for all participants, and restriction from participation in tournaments and post-season play. The ineilgibility for the participants was waived. It did not help that I threatened to secure a lawyer to fight this most extreme punishment. Mr. Singleton retaliated by stating that the entire sports program at L-E would not be allowed to participate in any contests if I legally challenged the SCHSL. sb
