CASA Winter Session Training Program Description

Target Audience. CASA’s winter session training program is targeted toward preparing players for JV or HS soccer tryouts. (It is expected that players seriously trying out for JV or HS soccer teams are also participating in school-affiliated conditioning. And, while the intent of this program is to prepare players for JV or HS soccer tryouts, it is not affiliated with any JV/HS program, and participation in this program is not required or expected from any JV/HS program.)

Trainers: Each session will be run by a current college head or assistant coach.

Registration: Registration will run through November 14, 2007. Accepted participants and detailed training schedules will be posted by November 22, 2007. Participants are responsible for checking the website to obtain this information. All sign ups are being handled online. To sign up, go to www.ClemsonAndersonSoccer.com and navigate to Training > Winter Training Sign Up.

When: Sessions are scheduled for the dates listed below. (Make up sessions due to inclement weather will be held on January 26 & 27 as needed.)

Time: Sessions are 1.5 hours in length. Our primary session will run from 7:30pm to 9:00pm. In order to maintain proper player-to-trainer ratios, an earlier time slot from 6:00pm to 7:30pm will be added if necessary. Our on-line form will give you an opportunity to indicate your time slot preference. (Players are expected to be checked-in and ready to take the field 10 minutes before the session begins. All players must wear shin guards.)

Location: Based on interest, sessions may be held at Nettles Park (Clemson), the Michelin Athletic Fields (Sandy Springs), and/or the Anderson Sports and Entertainment Center. Our on-line form will give you an opportunity to indicate your location preference.

Enrollment: Enrollment is limited, and online payment is expected at registration. (Enrollment preference will be given to participants that are in high school and those that register for all 12 sessions for $85. Individual sessions may be selected at $10/session. Refunds will only be provided if the participant is not accepted, or if the participant provides a note, signed by a physician, indicating a medical condition that prevents participation.)
