According to the Disney website, CESA 93 Premier girls only lost to the Dallas Texans 1-0. Very good result.
Here's a parent of a Charlotte Soccer Club Blue player, with his take on the CSC vs. Texans 1-1 draw in the preliminary round:
"Actually the Dallas Texans tied CSC Blue....CSC went up 1-0 in first six minutes, and dominated the first half. One of the best games this team has played since the state cup final against CASL and lived up to the billing of a nunber 3 vs number 12 in the nation. The Dallas Dive and Drama team came out to play the second half and with about 15 free kicks (no exaggeration with reffing that wasnt up to the level of play in this match) they knocked one of those loose/bouncing balls in the box in to tie us with about 14 minutes left. CSC had two great chances in the last five minutes but just couldnt put it away and came away with a dissapointing tie after dominating this team. The positive to take away is the team is starting to gel and play together. We still miss the leading scorer in the state last year who has basically been out since the first match of the state cup last May. Hopefully everyone heals and the improvement continues and have a good Region 3 showing and peaking next May. It really was fun to watch a group of 13/14 year old girls play at this level....."
