Roll Call for US v. Mex at The Cock n' Bull off Rosewood this Wednesday.

I believe the match starts at *9pm* ESPN2.

Doubt I make it as we have a scrimmage at Spring Valley, but that's the best place in Columbia to watch a match!

I think the game is at 9 p.m. though.

CHICAGO (Feb. 2, 2008) - U.S. head coach Bob Bradley will bring 22 players to Houston to prepare for the upcoming match against Mexico. Kickoff at Reliant Stadium is set for 8 p.m. CT on Feb. 6, and the match will be broadcast live on ESPN2 and Univision. Fans can also follow the game live via ussoccer.com’s MatchTracker.

My bad, I forgot which way the Earth spins!

Ditto on The Cock n' Bull, we're lucky to have such a venue in Cola. would be nice to view a match there with a full house.

well there must of been just 2 of us pulling for the Giants. I have not been a real Giants fan, but I do usually go for the underdog.....and there were Belicheck and his spygame, as well as Brady to easily hate. Had the Pats won, Brady would have been crowned the best QB ever, and made millions in pub.

Dog thinks 2 $900 Super Bowl tickets tasty treat

BEIJING, Feb. 2 (Xinhuanet) -- A dog in Arizona named Buddy accepted delivery of his owner's Super Bowl tickets on Wednesday and turned out to be bad buddy.
When a courier slipped the envelope containing two 900 U.S. dollar tickets under Chris Gallagher's door, his Labrador retriever mistook them for an unexpected treat.
Gallagher arrived home that evening to find the ripped and chewed remnants of the tickets, with some pieces missing, scattered across his floor.
"I kind of, you know, did an 'Oh, my God!'" Gallagher said. "Buddy bee-lined out the back."
The seller of the tickets told Gallagher they can be replaced, so 3-year-old Buddy was forgiven after he was banished to the back yard for two nights.

So now that the giants own the super bowl you feel compelled to include them in your avatar eventhough, before last night, you never were a real fan? You really are a meemur. Why all the hate of Tom Brady anyway? It's not like he's an arrogant a$$ or anything. His coach, maybe, him? Perhaps your hatred of him boils down to a much deeper root. I know, I did some recent investigation and found out that you hate Tom Brady because he looks like this and sleeps with girls like this:

meanwhile, you look like this and...well...do you even like girls?:

shutdown,
I believe your alleged "recent investigation" would legally be called stalking of Tom Brady. Not too many male stalkers of Tom Brady out there.......but I guess whatever floats your boat.

And I must really confess that I don't like Giselle's tousled hair style. This is more my speed-

Whereas, shutdown was seen leaving a Super Bowl party yesterday with............

Tough decision at 9 PM tonight. I realize you can tape one game and watch the other, but..........

As a red-blooded American soccer fan, living in the Carolinas, are you NOT a real soccer supporter if you watch the OTHER game? After all, USA-Mex is only a friendly, right?

I plan on seeing some of you at the Cock 'n Bull tonight.

What other game is on tonight? Surely you can't mean the UNC-Duke basketball clash -- that contest goes into the bucket of "who cares" for me!

If I had a place like the C'nB near me, where I could watch the match with that kind of atmosphere....it's a no-brainer.

My buddy's son at USC watched an EPL match in there this weekend and he said it was incredible!

Solid crowd at the Cn'B. Lots of young familiar faces from Stone stadium.

I missed the replay, but apparently Dempsey was offsides when he initially received the ball.

Very intriguing match. Moor and Corrales finishing out the full 90 continues to baffle me. Donovan was more or less a no-show (aside from a solid 15min). Feilhaber or Adu should have come in much earlier for Bradley. Sometimes Bradley's tenacity works with the system of play, sometimes it just looks lazy.

from ussoccer.com:
U.S. defender DREW MOOR

On the set pieces:
“Obviously it is something that Mexico looks for, and they had plenty of them tonight. We were uncomfortable with that and should have dealt with it better. It was very loud, but we needed to not let our men get across us. We needed stronger bodies on their players and needed to win our battles individually. Mexico definitely came at us and I thought 2-2 was a fair result.”

Grab a mirror son! I'm sure he DID think it was a fair result, I wouldn't want to take responsibility for two goals in my second(and hopefully last!) CAP!

Yeesh..

he was off sides when the ball was first played out of the midfield. i think it was the correct call. it was an exciting game that could have gone either way. overall i think mexico had the better run of play. usa young squad looked impressive and it will be interesting to see who's in the line up for wc qualifying games.

I was baffled by the no goal on Dempsey as well... However I caught a glimpse of the replay and it "looked" like he may have been off when the initial pass was made..

Altidore's goal was top notch....what a cross!!!!

i agree 100% with Jack i dont think in any way Moor and Corrales should have played the full 90. I think that Moor should have been subbed out after the second goal he allowed. I also think that Corrales was just floating around in the left back position. You do have to give a little credit to Moor though for serving that nice ball to Altidore.

Sammy L,
I can't keep one. Everyone says I am a moron and too obnoxious.
What do you do when that happens to you?

First, Jack - nice new avatar (is that how you spell it?)
Second, game was so-so. I didn't come away with anyone that impressed me much - maybe Altidore, he does impress me. I might have been spoiled by watching the Ireland - Brazil match earlier where one of the Irish lads impressed me and of course a few of the Brazilians. There wasn't much outstanding play in the US game - couple of nice saves by Howard, couple of nice moves by Dempsey, Bradley has played better, and Donovan only showed up for the post game interview, at least he got to be next to a quality midfilder (ouch -I didn't plan to go there!). I think my expectations might be too high.
Third, Lurker and I went to a Mexican restaurant in Florence to watch the game and they were watching the Duke-UNC game. We then went to Indigo Joe's and they were having trouble keeping the TVs turned to the right channels, so we left and watched the game at my house - at least the beers were cheaper.
