Club met very recently to discuss the merger. It appears Aiken is in. I've been told prices will go up substantially (meaning over $200) and the coaches that currently are in place will continue to be used. The major driving force is that it is believed Aiken will fold without such a merger.

The positive spin with this could be, the Aiken membership are willing to spend the extra money to keep a club near home. The negative spin with this could be, same coaches, same training, more cost. Either way, it's a tough spot for a board to be in.

I agree. If it strengthens the teams and is affordable stil - good for the community. Any truth to the rumors there might be full time directors positions opening?
