Looking at the schedules, I tried to identify ten great matches that are "must see" this season. I put a few conditions on the selections:
a) All matches are non-region matches. b) All matches are intra-state (no NC or GA teams). c) No team is listed twice, you only get to see them once.
If you could only see three of these matches, which would you attend (time, travel and money not a factor)?
3/3 Irmo @ Spring Valley 3/15 Lexington vs. Fort Mill (FM Invitational @ Manchester Meadows, Rock Hill) 3/18 Summerville @ Wando 4/15 Bishop England @ Hilton Head 4/15 Mauldin @ Riverside 4/16 JL Mann @ Spartanburg 4/23 TL Hanna @ Byrnes 4/23 Dorman @ Dutch Fork 4/29 Airport @ Dreher 4/29 North Myrtle Beach @ Waccamaw

4/23 TL Hanna @ Byrnes
TLH was booted as the #1 seed in Region 1 by the rebs in the first round. Payback? Byrnes was the surprise team in the VC.
4/23 Dorman @ Dutch Fork
Could be a match up of the SC game this year if all goes right for my buddy up in Roebuck.
4/29 Airport @ Dreher
Kline and Keith square off on the field and give me a chance to see the soon-to-be-region-nemisis up close

I would say:
Fort Mill vs Lexington (possible upper state champ game)
TLH vs Byrnes (revenge factor plus 3rd rounds)
Dorman vs Dutch Fork (see if DF is a strong down the strech)

If I could make one game, I would definitely be at the Irmo vs Spring Valley game on monday. I know Irmo has been missing some key starters due to injury and sickness but hopefully they'll be at full strength. Plus this game is a rivalry game so I'm sure it won't be lacking any intensity

It is also being played (annually) in memory of former Lady Viking Ashley Dent. On top of everything previously mentioned it is sure to be an emotionally charged evening for both sides.
I would encourage impartial fans of the girl's game to show your support for both squads (in addition to monetary donations for the scholarship in Ashley's name).

I would probably go with:
Bishop England @ Hilton Head - #1 2A/1A team in the state versus a highly-skilled 3A team. HH's only real challenge until the state playoffs.
Mauldin @ Riverside - History & proximity. The most successful upperstate 4A program versus the most successful upperstate 3A program.
Dorman @ Dutch Fork - Late season match has two 4A teams that may be ranked in the Top 5 of the state poll. Upperstate vs. Lowerstate.

Spring Valley 2 Irmo 1
It will be interesting to see if the other nine games are just as close as this one.

Wando 2 Summerville 0
Don't see too many more of the games listed above with a final score greater than a two-goal spread.

Wade Hampton plays Blue Ridge in girls' soccer tonight. Wade Hampton has selected this game for "Senior Night" due to: (1) historical record of 11-0 versus Blue Ridge, (2) 63-7 lifetime scoring in favor of WH, and (3) general trend of 11-0 games all won by Wade Hampton.
This might be considered a big game by the team that wins it.
