Both of these teams seem to be doing well recently, I remember back when I played Rock Hill was always a joke but I have seen this year and last year they are producing. Can anyone explain?

South Pointe is a new team in the harshe York County area that seems to be off to a good season so far. (I know they havent played NW or FM yet but give it time)

Any explanation on why these squads are doing well, how were the schools split up, who on what squads are playing club (Northside or Discoveries or something else)?

with the new highschool, new school lines were drawn. I believe this years seniors were the group of kids that had to first switch schools due to the realignment*.

Northwestern will win Region 3 but Fort Mill, South Pointe, Rock Hill and Nation Ford will all battle it out for 2nd place.

One of these competitive teams will not make the state play-offs and the first place team from Region 2 will not get a very easy each match in the first round of states.

It's still very early yet, but I do not envy any team in the Upper State playoffs. Nobody will have an easy road and I expect there to be some major upsets along the way. The brackets are here:

NW, RHHS and South Pointe all have the advantage of a forty year program in the Rock Hill area. Great soccer town!

And it appears as though neither team gives up many goals. Should be a good series between the two this year.
