The state of South Carolina is not getting much love from the national rankings for boys soccer according to StudentSportsSoccer.com. The only Palmetto State teams debuting in this week's "rivals.com Fab50" are 4A Irmo (#9), 3A Riverside (#17), 3A Greenville (#26), 3A Eastside (#48).

Let's see...Top 50, 50 states average would be one team per state. SC get 4 teams in with population under 4 million. That seems like pretty fair representation. I'm sure you can argue whether or not the right 4 teams made the top 50. The play will let you know.

Remember... not all states play High School soccer in the Spring. No California, Texas, North Carolina... etc.

Actually, the vast majority of states do not play boys HS soccer in the spring. This should greatly increase the odds of SC teams getting into the top 50.

Is there a year-end ranking that includes all seasons?
