Early season scores and previous history show this is the match up to decide the region 1 crown. Best of luck to both teams (a little more towards my Marchbanks Man), and predictions in the hours leading up to the game.

TLH 3
Wren 1

C Rob and Harpe getting the goals with a couple of assist from C. Craft. You know who gets Wren on the board and scares TLH until the very end.

Score was tied 0-0 at half. We scored fairly quickly in the second half with a beautiful run on the ball from the left by Morgan Tucker. Summer Miller scored the second goal and fellow freshman Kathryn Witcher scored her first AND second goals of the season to get us up 4-0. Hannah Gmerek scored their goal on a textbook run down the line by their wing midfielder and perfect cross to Hannah which she of course converted perfectly.

I am VERY proud of our defensive unit. Trying to contain Hannah is a huge task and they all stepped up and played aggressive and skilled defense!

It sounds like TL Hanna's young ones did a great job last night. That is a sound victory over a very good Wren team.

Thanks for noticing. When setting our schedule, we knew that our success would be dependent on our freshmen getting up to speed with the physical varsity play by playoff time. We have played some very good teams (including Wren) and I think the freshmen are way ahead of where we anticipated they would be at this early part of the season.
