Dominant performance by the US. Could've been a much more broad scoreline than 3-0 with Landon and Jay DeMerit missing good chances while Dempsey decided to dribble when he should've shot/squared to an on-rushing player. Eddie Johnson was a huge disappointment though. He just seemed to lumber around the field playing sloppy passes and didn't have any confidence whatsoever. Landon's deliveries were sharp and his play was pretty good. The defense did a good job of stepping to the ball and filling in gaps when needed. Overall I'd say that it bodes well for the team when young players like Michael Bradley and Ricardo Clark are getting a lot of playing time. And to think that Landon isn't even in his prime yet... It's a scary thought to think of him at his peak playing with a talented young midfield.

Excellent report here on the game. Ex-Clemson player, Onyewu, had a goal. Also U.S. wore new black unis-

I only watched the 1st half.

Encouraging: Donovan provided quality service (FINALLY!) from set pieces (resulting in the first two goals from headers).

Also, from what I saw the US pretty much dominated possession - though Poland had their spells. 3-0 away against a side that will be competing in Euro 2008. Certainly not a bad thing.

Discouraging: Why OH WHY ..is Brian Ching still out there?! Was there no one else? Were there no young talents we could have called up? Why? WHY? We might as well have Chris "Ape Man" Albright up there.

Johnson was poor as well, but with Ching by his side..he looked like Edildinho! Completely ineffective strike force in the first half.

Our defenders and mids better be able to chip in offensively...because on the international stage, it would be generous to say our strikeforce is mediocre.

I concurr with the comments on Johnson and Ching. I thought Wolff added a little hustle, I've always liked Josh and wonder why he doesn't get more opportunities. Mr. Pearce, although winning the free kick leading to the 1st goal, was, in my opinion, out classed. There are a number of players I'd put above him on the depth chart (Bornstein, Hejduk, Conrad, Lewis, etc.) at left back. Hey, bring back the goose! I didn't see the US domination that others had mentioned and a 3 - 0 result was fortunate considering the run of play. I do look forward to seeing Altidore play at the senior level, I'm anticipating a pretty good Olympics. Who do you think will be the 3 over 23 players? Donovan, Beasley, Onyewu?

Y'all may laugh but I would ask McBride. I know he said he'd never play for the nats again, but this is not the senior team & I think this is a special once in a lifetime opportunity....one about being a mentor & I think he'd say yes.

To me, McBride is the poster boy for how a professional should perform and behave. He's 100% hard work, sacrifice, duty, loyalty....plus he can still score goals and he's the captain of a Premiership team. An American...think about it. He's the complete package, think what a lasting positive impact he'd have on all the other young US players.

Sorry for the ramble, but I think McHead is underrated & underappreciated and one the best, if not the best, player this country has ever produced.
