Does this mean that the current coaches will have to "apply" as well or is the club wanting to fill vacant coaching spots?

Will SSC continue with the present relationship with Bridge FA?

Is SSC accepting resumes for Challenge level coaches as well? Have you filled the DOC position? Thanks.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say..you are probably not going to get any answers on this thread..
To find the answers you will have to keep visiting the SSC website or attend a board meeting..

Unless SSC has changed the way they define coaches, the "select" program at SSC is known as "classic" and included both statewide classic play and challenge play. If you're fishing to see if there is going to be challenge play at SSC, then you should head the advice of CHT.

As far as I know it is just for classic coaches.

Hope for the best but always prepare for the worst.

No new DOC the board has brought in CESA to take over. With CESA they may try Challenge and Classic.

Ape...please do tell more. CESA coming to the Lowcountry is big news for a lot of kids. Is it just training by CESA or will they field teams with the CESA name?? There will be very interested parents if CESA heads to the Lowcountry.

CHT & Bear, thanks for the advice, but I'll keep the dialogue/fishing going here. We'll hear of any new news here before anywhere else!

Sometimes it's very hard to distinguish between news and rumor, on a public anonymous message board.

Look at Ape's history for example. 5 posts about something that could be news, or could be rumor. Since we don't know who Ape is, it's very hard to tell.

Agreed! I'll believe it when I see it on the website.

SSC has 13 board members, serving 2 year terms, so half are elected each year. Only the VP is elected each year, because the second year they move into the president. So, this is the normal election process at work for those positions. I wouldn't try to read anything more into that.
