Saw in another thread, questioning the yelling of some coaches! Who makes you laugh, by their antics?

osorio i think from dorman, if you don't know his players' names before the game you figure it out during the game he's great to listen to though

yelling does nothing for the game. let the players decide the game not the ref's nor the yelling coaches. there are ways to communicate to your players on the pitch without screaming and yelling. gives the game a bad vibe. an i imagine it does nothing for the players. Players out there post how you fill when yelled at on the pitch.

....but what if your players ASK you to yell at them. May sound strange, but sometimes my girls ask for just that. Says it makes them play better!

That kind of yelling is different than the demeaning/bickering yell's that does nothing for the player. Some players understand to pick it up, when yelled at, because they know that they can play better! Also it's not a constant during the whole game yell, just at selected points of the game, when the player is not playing at the max they can play, and need additional direction. But the best coach is one that coaches during practice/half time, and watches their player play in the game...which I know you precisely execute.

I agree dbsandis. Also if the guys or girls trust you, and they have desire, there coachable, it makes it easier.

Yelling is a part of every sport. That shows the intensity and passion, if it is used properly. Derogatory and demeaning remarks shouldn't be said while the players are playing but yelling out of frustration and giving direction to the lads is fine.

Yelling does not have to be negative.
