Maybe both teams were playing...GASP...long ball

If it works for the teams in the EPL, I think it's good enough for us in HS.

As I witnessed my first NASCAR race on TV this weekend watching Dale Jr's version of "Long Ball" [i.e., one more lap, one more lap, oh shoot we don't have enough gas!), .........

It seems with all of the money and time they have, someone would be able to figure out how much gas it takes....

so dale jr., you are comparing South Carolina High School to EPL? or did you mean that is how they play it in the MLS-as that is how teams in the MLS paly-kick ball. Now i know who i am talking with...you keep telling your kids or team that is how you want them play. If they ever get a chance to play at a high level, they will be watching from the bench as that is not how quality soccer is played.
Maybe these teams strategically did play long ball-but as we can see it did not help as BE lost, and Waccamaw did not score again...
These two teams are full of club players and would have thought to see a quality game, that is all i saying...some teams are effective using kick ball and if it works use it

I'd type slower to help you understand, but it all comes out the same when I post. You've basically said long ball is not a purpose driven style, nor is it quality. To that I question your all-star coaching career that has spanned infinite miles. Bah I say to you, your observations, and your omnipotent, arrogant, and narrow minded vision of soccer.

All teams that send long balls through, whether on the ground or in the air, are crap. So says some dad of a keeper in 2002 that has coached on all 7 continents.
