10:00 am - Alex Buchman, University of South Carolina Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach (Women's Soccer)
2:00 pm - S.C. High School Soccer Coaches Association Business Meeting
3:00 pm - SCHSL Rules Meeting

The SCHSSCA will elect a new Vice-President for the 2017-2019 term. Nominations from the floor will be accepted.

MONDAY, 7/24/17

Mike Mauldin of Myrtle Beach was recognized for 40 years of SCACA service

Dave Easley, long time SCHSSCA volunteer, was recognized for 25 years of SCACA service

Alex Buchman had an outstanding presentation with an update of his data collected for the USC women's soccer team from two years ago

Todd Lea was elected from the floor via a ballot vote to be the SCHSSCA Vice-President

Skip Lax presented the Rules Clinic for the S.C. High School League

TUESDAY, 7/25/17

11 am, SCACA Business Meeting

Shell Dula, Executive Director of SCACA, stressed that "this is your association ... if you don't believe something is above board then it is your right to ask questions - transparency is paramount"

SCACA received a good audit report by a Greenville accounting firm

SCACA salaries are published

$48,500 through June in SCACA scholarships of an expected $81,500 to be doled out in 2017 - an increase from $75,000 a year ago

$29,000 liability insurance by Lewis & Lapan

Auxiliary groups contributed $14,500 this Summer to SCACA:
$5,000 Football
$3,500 Baseball
$2,000 Wrestling
$1,500 CAWS
$1,000 Cheer
$1,000 Soccer
$500 Tennis

5,701 preregistered for SCACA Clinic in 2017 and expectations were that more than 6,500 would be in attendance (second time with more than 6,000 attendees)

SCACA has a Charles Schwab investment

$40,000 in vendor fees at Summer Clinic which helps off-set costs

Bob Hayes of Wando HS is the SCACA/SCHSL Representative

Mike Beasley, Blackville-Hilda HS, will assume the SCACA/SCHSL role in August 2018

Membership dues ($40) have not risen since 1996 but are tabled for discussion this year

SCACA Clinic will remain in Charleston for 2018 and 2019

Charles Gee, SCACA Chaplain, informed all members that a FCA Luncheon was available following the Business Meeting

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
Because of your involvement and commitment, we were able to reduce our audio visual expense by 24.5% at the clinic.

With each auxiliary association providing a projector for their sessions and coordinating with their speakers the necessary equipment needed, we were able to cut expenses from $28,366.21 in 2016 to $21,410.98 in 2017.
