I used to coach at Spartanburg Soccer Club years ago and teams scored 13 plus goals in the state league on us. We had a recreational team playing in the top division. I have learned my lesson being on the 'crushed' side.

We have done several things with weaker teams, pulling players off and playing numbers down. We have played in games with seven players. Taking mostly JV players (we call them A/B players not ready yet for varsity but are training with us until their skills get better) and let them play with players on the varsity team who don't get alot of playing time. This is great experience for both type of players. Our goal is to keep it under 10, no matter what we have to do.

But I have confidence in Mike that he did what he could to keep the score down.
