After two days, South Carolina United is 2-2. On day one the 16's lost to Scott Gallagher Metro 2-1 and the 18's lost 3-1. On day two the 16's beat Classics Elite (Texas) 2-0 and the 18's won 4-1.
The facilities are fantastic and the weather has been unseasonably cool. There are approximately 200 college coaches, as well as US National Team coaches and scouts in attendance. We have had 20-25 college coaches watch all or part of each of our games. There simply is no program that offers close to its equal in exposure and quality competition. The officiating has been stellar.
In addition to the Academy teams, the U-17 National Teams from the
USA, Brazil, Portugal and The Netherlands are also playing.
SC United plays New England Revolution on Tuesday before returning home. All in all it is an incredible soccer experience.
