I may be wrong about this, but I believe the Red Rose Classic is a regular season tournament. I know it has been played in the middle of the soccer season before, and for this year, it was moved up to the beginning of the season.

From what I was told, if a tournament is played before March 8 - the first regular season playing date - it is considered a preseason tournament.
