The only thing that is keeping the clubs from going somewhere else is the clubs, when they have to consider difference in services, competition requirements/benefits, regional/national competitions, and the increased costs associated with it. Several clubs in the state dual register their players, (or used to anyway), SCYS and US Club. Also makes the insurance pretty much a moot point, if you can get past the increased operating costs that are necessary to do it. If I remember correctly, it was about an additional $15 per player, that you actually registered.
