Michigan "got the better of" several key aspects:
1) Steadier defending.
2) Solid two-way midfield play.
3) FAR more polish in the final third.
4) Better execution of overall gameplan.
In other words, a victory every bit as comprehensive as the 3-1 score.


Backscreen -- I won't disagree on most points made. However, Michigan had worse goalkeeping for certain. They had the "better players" certainly up top. #8 and #9 were studs. One is a true freshman and will be heard from again I'm certain at the next level.

On that note, Carolina had a fantastic year and really played with a "teamgeist" that has been absent in recent years. Kudos to the coaching staff and seniors for melding their winning formula this season!
