Coach Shelly Smith's Gamecocks, a #1 seed, will host Coach Anson Dorrance's Tar Heels, a #2 seed, on Friday, November 25 at Stone Stadium in Columbia. Kickoff for the Quarterfinals match is at 6 p.m.

South Carolina (21-1-1) opened the NCAA Tournament with a 7-0 victory vs. Alabama State. In the Second Round, USC slipped past Colorado 1-0 and followed that with another 1-0 win vs. Brigham Young in the Sweet 16.

North Carolina (16-3-4) has shutout all three NCAA postseason foes: 3-0 Liberty; 2-0 Kansas; and 1-0 Clemson. The Tar Heels have captured 21 national championships in the sport's 34 year existence.
