What would it hurt? I do not believe that it would interfere with anything.
Say we did that this season, girls could have played:
3/1 Mon (1st)
3/5 Fri (2nd) [3 Rest Days since G1]
3/9 Tues(3rd) [3 Rest Days since G2]
3/12 Fri(LS/US) [2 Rest Days since G3]

Boys
3/2 Tues (1st)
3/6 Sat (2nd) [3 Rest Days since G1]
3/10 Wed (3rd) [3 Rest Days since G2]
3/13 Sat (LS/US) [2 Rest Days since G3]

Monday and Tuesday could've been make-up days for bad weather or the schedule could get stretched a tad more and play LS/US games on [G] 3/13 and [B] 3/15. Plenty of rest time and adjustment time.

State:
[3/18 if stretched to 3 days]
3/19 (Fri)
3/20 (Sat)

Numbers up top are just a rough idea, but the idea of extension is something to be considered. This playoffs the weather caused problems. You play a 1st round game for boys, then delay round 2 to Friday, and if you advance travel 2.5 hours to play early on Saturday because of the schools prom or some local event. In our 3rd round game you could see all players were tired and struggled to get hyped up. Say that Friday game goes to a shootout then you have to play early Saturday. Not enough recoup time. Extension of the playoffs in no way could hurt the HSL. But wait... we are soccer not football so they probably wouldn't mind us shortening it somehow.
