Did district turn its back on soccer coach?
Lexington County Chronicle

What has our society come to these days?

I have followed the Brookland-Cayce High School saga from afar wondering if our local elected officials of the School Board and Cayce/West Columbia communities could show just that, leadership. I received my answer yesterday, and quite frankly, they all failed miserably!

To be honest, I had zero faith in the BCHS or Lexington Two administration and understand that is where the problem ultimately lies. However, in matters like these it takes an advocate of "common sense" to make sound decisions. They proved they could not.

Instead of rallying around an educator and highly successful high school coach who has poured his heart and soul back into his own community, it only turned its back on him.

That just boggles the imagination. In fact, it's down right embarrassing. I hope those in charge realize they will reap what they sow.

I only know Coach Heise through others' personal experiences with him and for some that has been at least 20 years. That in itself is good enough for me, however, with the support he was shown during this ordeal then our community is the only loser in this case.
