A total of 301 soccer teams (116 boys, 185 girls) throughout the United States have earned the United Soccer Coaches High School Team Academic Award for exemplary performance in the classroom as a team during the 2021-22 academic year. Among these programs are 26 schools receiving honors for both their boys and girls teams.

United Soccer Coaches annually celebrates the academic achievements of high school soccer teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full academic year.

To qualify for the award, the team must have a minimum grade point average of 3.25 for the entire academic year. The team GPA is determined by adding every player’s GPA, then dividing by the number of players.
