From Soccer America:

• The National Academy League, a new national boys league, announced plans for its fall launch with five conferences from New England to Florida. Most of teams are MLS Next programs not operated by MLS teams. The league will provide them a chance to operate second teams in six age groups. Programs can enter teams in the IMG Cup College Showcase in December and for a National Academy League championship in June 2024.

So this league competes with all the other boys youth leagues? How many different competitive youth leagues does this country need?

A "National" league that encompasses less than a fourth of the country, mostly in the southeast and along the east coast? Righhhttt... Seems more dilution of the youth game than focusing on making the existing network better. The powers-that-be need to grab hold of this if US Soccer is to become better prepared to compete on the world stage.
