There are definitely no 100% guaranteed, sure-fire PK's in any game situation. As you said, many are deflected or sail high and wide, never coming close to being a 'guaranteed goal.' I, like you, believe more in simplicity than being fancy; I was simply stating that in my opinion, a straight PK on goal would have a much higher success rate than a PK taken involving the passing and good-timing required to take a PK like the one in the clip.

You saw in practice that it took us about three times to mimic and successfully do this 'move.' Yet, a well placed, straight PK could slip by me almost everytime (i.e. Gracie-lou's PK during Animal Ball) But this was just my opinion about it.

This would definitely be something to catch any keeper offguard. I know that I would never expect this coming from any of our games (and let me knock on wood for that...)
