During a game last week a player received a yellow card and had to leave the field. When the coach sent him in at the next opportunity the referee wouldn't allow it. The referee said he had to stay out 5 minutes. The coach questioned the ruling and he was told that's what the referee clinic in Columbia told him. The other referee (it was a two man system) talked to the referee and it was left that he had to stay out 5 minutes. (I wonder who was keeping track of the penalty minutes?) There was only about 2 minutes left in the game so the game ended without him getting back in. Anybody else told of the 5 minute penalty at a Columbia meeting?
