The spring event, held in South Carolina's capital city suburbs of Cayce and West Columbia, will feature 12 top-class programs from the Palmetto State, as well as four nationally and regionally respected programs from outside the South Carolina borders. However, when trying to organize a 16-team field competing over four days, the playing dates (i.e., Spring Breaks, religious holidays, travel time, etc.) are considered and some teams that have played in the Palmetto Cup recently have been put "on hold" for future tournaments.
