A lot of rust on the Lady Jackets as the 2-7-1 Butler Lady Bullgogs took it to them for 60 minutes. Danielle Schmitt scored her 95th, 96th and 97th career goals in the last 17 minutes of play to break the deadlock and rescue Fort Mill.
Butler has been beaten 6-love and 6-love by both Myers Park and Providence, two Charlotte teams that the Lady Jackets will entertain later this month. The Region 3 matches have done nothing to prepare FM for the state tournament and if they were to meet Dorman, Lexington or Mauldin right now, I doubt the Lady Jackets would make it to Stone Stadium. The good news.....no goals allowed last night.
