The idea of sending registration info over the internet has been suggested each year for quite a few years. To date, SCYSA has rejected this idea because of the seurity and privacy issues involved. All registrars, coaches, managers, etc. are strongly urged NOT to send players' personal registration info over the internet.

If SCYSA would agree, transmission over the internet could be done securely in one of several ways. Two examples:
1. Secure email - this would protect the data but would require that everyone involved use a compatible encryption mechanism. Everyone would have to have email software that supports the encryption mechanism and encryption keys would have to be securely distributed to everyone.
2. Encrypted HTTP file transfer - this is probably the more desirable method since it would only require browser software and access to the web. Some form of authentication key would still need to be used to insure that only authorized persons accessed the data.

For now, however, as far as I know, SCYSA still requires a 10 day lead time for registration requests. The 10 days does not start until you get your info to your club registrar and after he/she sends it to the district registrar.
