Fenomeno-

First of all, I just want to give you my background so that I at least qualify to make a point on here, as because America has not won any World Cups, Americans can't argue with you.

I am English, born and raised, and therefore hopefully I am qualified as England did win a World Cup in '66.

For you to describe England's celebration of their victory over Argentina in the 2002 World Cup as you did was completely inaccurate. England celebrated the victory the way they did because of previous encounters with Argentina. In 1986, the great Maradona and his famous "Hand of God" incident ousted England from the World Cup. In 1998, Beckham's stupidity against Argentina was a catalyst to their downfall as well. It was because of these past meetings that England and the people of England were so excited after they finally beat Argentina, not simply because Argentina are a "South American" team.

The reason that Americans go to England rather than Italy or Spain also extends far past the fact that they would not be accepted because they are not good enough. For one, England is a much easier transition because there is no language barrier that the players have to overcome. Secondly, Americans play very similarly to English players. They are by nature big and strong, and certainly not as technically sound as Latino players. They also don't have as much "acting" prowess as the Latino players, so they are not used to the fact that people in Italy and Spain spend 50% of their time on the ground rolling around faking that they have been mortally wounded. Americans tend to survive much better in England because this is a similar style of play and a similar pace at which they play.

Europeans don't pick on South Americans, rather, they fully respect South Americans as they are obviously brilliant players and have proven this through their accomplishments on the World Stage. For you to say that South Americans simply laugh at European soccer is a huge mistake though. Obviously the South Americans respect Europeans as well.

One final thing, I find it funny that you refer to South America as if it was where you are from. You are from El Salvador, thats in Central America last time I checked. Might want to get out a map.
