There is scant difference between commenting and inviting comments. Either way, the result tends to be a bunch of people saying things about kids that are frequently based on misinformation. If we confine our discussions to what happens on the field, it minimizes the chances of unnecessarily and irresponsibly hurting the kids involved.

Just because we have the freedom to say most anything we want doesn't mean it is the responsible thing to do. One thing that distinguishes this board (usually) from similar forums in NC, Ga and Fl is its civility. In addition to the obviously closer monitoring by the administrators, I'd like to attribute it to the maturity (generally) of the people who post here. Using a little discretion is an important component of that.
