I enjoyed the game yesturday but thought that the game lacked intensity. Thought the North played more together. But was wondering why the late date of the game. Maybe try to schedule it a few weeks after states, maybe would get more school kids in attendence. But love the game and what it stands for. Fun atmosphere. Hope the game continues each year. Next years match will and should have more offensive power. The south has a few talented strikers and mids. next year.

I also think trying to schedule the game to not be during various odp camps would be wise

Yeah - the seniors are no longer odp eligible - I was making a reference to getting more attendance in general. The 92's 93's and 94 boys were on their way home from Alabama and the 91's and 95's were leaving the next day. Not exactly sure of the total number of kids (boys and girls) either on their way home from camp or leaving the next day - but to me that wiped out a good many kids and their families from being able to attend. I know it's summer and people are on vacation, etc. but I guess I wonder why one would schedule this during the middle of odp events and eliminate alot of soccer families from being able to attend. Not trying to criticize the organizers - just food for thought for future years.

Good information. However, with May being the end of the S.C. prep season, high school graduations, senior week at the beach, the North-South Soccer Classic scheduled for mid-June, Southern Regionals, ODP, Blackbaud Stadium availability with home match, soccer camps, vacation, SCACA Summer Clinic, etc., you kind of have to etch out whatever time frame you can make the event work -- along with North Carolina's agreement. Remember, this is an interstate event and the Tar Heels are actually having their N-S equivalent all-star games (East-West) on July 22.
As you know, it's a busy time for all and I know I speak for the rest of the crew in that we wish it could be offered at a peak interest time period, but maybe we can shoot for that "magic date" in the future.
