I"M NOT SURE HOW THE RANKINGS ARE DONE FOR HS SOCCER BUT IF YOU LOOK AT 2A soccer , I see Emerald is ranked 10th, I find that hard to believe.I can't see one team in 2A who would have played Emeralds pre-season schedule and done any better against those teams. When you do rankings You have to look at the losses but also who they lost too. Emerald has only lost to #2 Ranked 4A Irmo,#1 3A ranked Eastside, #1A Ranked Christ church. They tied 4A West Ashley who beat several 2A teams badly which are ranked a head of them. Emerald has to have one of the toughest out of conference schdules around. It will pay dividends for them down the road.I know rankings don't mean anything till the end of the year but I thought that Emeralds ranking of 10th is way off.

The tough schedule only prepares this program for the end of the season. Rankings generally work out the way they should. This isn't the BCS...thank the good Lord.

The Emerald boys enjoyed tonight finally playing a quality AA team for the first time of the regular season. Very refreshing change of pace.

Walhalla has the founding of a quality side. By the end of the season they should be very formidable as they will only improve under direction of Coach Mike Estes. As a whole they attack very well on the flanks. It caused Emerald problems all match.

It looks to be another exciting season in AA Upperstate.
