Anyone have a Lincoln/GSSM score?

How can you say that the Irmo backfield is not strong? They may have some injuries at the moment, but some players were rested for this game tonight. Wouldn't you have to go back into the early 90's to remember such a solid back line? Don't think that Irmo is overlooking Wando...I would be quite certain that they will be focusing on them since many times Wando and Irmo have squared off. You can't tell me that you wouldn't love the chance to go onto somebody's home turf and give it to them good. That's always a good incentive. Don't think that both teams aren't going to be:

1) Playing the underdog card
2) Playing the we have to crush the other team to get respect
3) We have this image that we have a bunch of spoiled players, so we need to go out as a team and commence with a beat-down
4) Playing the no respect card

It's all about stepping up, peaking at the right time, and getting a few lucky bounces of the ball. It should be a good game. Don't go off spewing out the normal garbage about either team, just let it be settled out on the field.

I will tell you that there is zero possibility that Irmo is overlooking Wando. That just doesn't happen. Anyone that has ever played for Irmo will most likely tell you that their most heated rival is Wando. These two schools have met each other in so many big games and there is no chance Savitz lets this years team "overlook" Wando. This is maybe the biggest rivalry in all of South Carolina High School Soccer. These two teams just do not like each other, never have. A little side fact, last time Irmo went to Wando was when current Irmo seniors Trent Morgan, Kyle Hubbard, and Kyle McKewan were all freshmen in 2006 in the second round of the state playoffs. Wando won 4-1, so revenge could play a factor. It will be a great game, really wish I could be there but Charleston is quite the drive from Clemson.

What a great game down at Batesburg-Leesville. B-L was well deserving of the # 1 seed in the upstate and played very well. B-L scored off a direct in which was misplayed and scored by B-L forward. Walhalla then played with composure and was able to tie the game and then win. Good luck to all the teams. A good competitive year in AA.
