Just another fact about Northwestern's defense, their starters have only given up 4 or 5 goals. The others were scored when the subs were in. I do not know much about Irmo's defense, but I do know that Northwestern's two center backs, Robbie Benson and Shawn Ferguson, are both on the All-State team. Both defenses are highly talented, but I have to give the edge to Northwestern.

IRMO also had two backs named to the all region team... it will be a great futbol match with two of the best defenses and attacks going at each other. All of these boys will deserve to play in the championship (after tomorrow) going undefeated and scoring the amount of goals they did while giving up very few. Both teams had a great year, now lets finish the job IRMO!

pinger...he didnt say that Northwestern had two defenders on the all region team...he said the all-state team, but i agree if both get through their games tomorrow it is going to be one heck of a game down in Columbia! we'll see what happens

Northwestern's goalies are good also. I don't know about Irmo's but NW's are legit.

NW backs are obviously the better of the two. Just check out the 4A All State team...

Benson, Ferguson, Dobbins, Parks. Very good defense.
