USA 2:0 Honduras ... good showing by U.S.

Off to Giants Stadium tomorrow. The semi's were each played at a different tempo. If Mexico can play at that pace, it's going to be tough for the US to stay with them.

I'm not convinced the Central striker for Mexico is good enough, but the wings are pretty strong, particularly Dos Santos (Arsenal I think, but let's not hold that against him).

Central midfield is where the US can dominate and I hope they do.

Crowd should be pro-Mexico (that's a dissappointment), but I'm looking forward to it. Go USA, but I'm not confident they can win this one.

Without doubt the worst organised sporting event I've ever been to. The five miles off the turnpike had three lanes and everyone using them as well as the two hard shoulders (No Police - so 5 miles took over 70 mins). Toll booths had three cash lanes and five easy pass lanes and therefore everyone used just the three lanes) - more delays. Car Parks were marked full, (though they had about 10% of spaces open). Entry gates were not manned with enough people (more delays and frustration). Security non existent at the entry (don't tell Al Qaeda). No staff to supervise seating or stopping people from other sections standing at the bottom of the steps and blocking your view. Concessions manned by people who couldn't organise a good weekend for Elliot Spitzer in Vegas.

Game was great until Carlos Vela came on. The US outside backs couldn't cope with him or Dos Santos and the rest as they say is History. Not too keen on the Ref either, but the better team won on the Day.

dos santos had a great tournament, the c team defense could do little about him and vela.

at least, they have to bring the b team next time.
