Open invite to all Battery fans to attend our 1st Annual Battery Brigades Brewhaha, Saturday before the July 11 match vs. Carolina. Also that is the day of the Clash of the Carolinas with the states best HS players taking the field at the Baud before the Battery game.
What is it you ask?
its an old fashion "social network"! A physical gathering of Battery supporters from across the South East and a chance to meet like minded fans face to face.
The Regiment (the Batterys supporters Club) will be hosting a tailgate complete with food and beverages. All you have to do is show up before the match and enjoy.
Why?
It started as an idea from another message board. There are many Battery fans from around the state (and throughout the world) and it seems that one or two attend various matches thourghout the season but we are trying to get as many people at one game as possible. Sort of a homecoming type event but beings this wont be on a High School campus so we can have all the libations we want!
We'll have some non alcoholic drinks available as well for the kiddos and anyone else who dont partake.
If anyone has any question, post them here or PM me
On a side note, the Battery play Puerto Rico Thursday night on Fox Soccer Channel at 8pm, I know there was some talk of a few Columba based Battery supporters meeting at the Cock and Bull on Rosewood dr. to watch the match. Should be a good match as these two teams have a history and are pretty evenly matched up.
Up the Battery!
