Both these teams won their tournament, yet had to travel to a team with an at-large bid. Had they won they would have had to travel again. I would favor teams that are lucky enough (and may have finished well down their conference - like Duke, who finished 6th), being made to travel instead. Why did Duke get that benefit ? Didn't that probably have an impact on the result ?
