To my knowledge their has been little -if any - mention of defensive players. While the glory is all in scoring the goals - defenders and keepers work as hard as anybody on the pitch.

IMO every player on the top 10 Rankings can play in the defence. Thats why their on the list. Again this is a High School List some of these guys probably play a more defensive role on their respected clubs teams.
