Kinda like that one. I'm a bit of a creative-tension type, myself.

"Everything else being equal, you must outwork your opponent in order to win"

I call that Sports Justice.

Not NECESSARILY true fort soccer, but certainly a thought:

If you can't beat 'em in the alley, you can't beat 'em on the pitch.

Here are a few , more for games then anything else, the man can beat you or the ball can beat you , but not BOTH.
When in doubt, kick it out.
