This is straight off a west coast clubs web site. The cost of SC soccer is not so bad after all.

Overview:

The ECNL is a national youth soccer league founded in 2009 for the purpose of providing the highest level of competition and the best developmental environment for American female youth soccer players who intend to play at a collegiate level. It is also focused as an identification and development program, which will seek to include players in US Soccers National Teams. When attending ECNL events it common to have 20 or more college coaches scout each game. The 2012-13 season is the ECNLs fourth season with competition at 5 age levels (U14 to U18). In the U14 age group ECNL participation will be limited so at this age group the team will continue to compete within the Washington State Regional Club League. In the U15 to U18 age groups, the teams will only participate in ECNL event and conference games. Participation will require 6 to 9 multiple day trips depending on schedule and players should understand the commitment this requires. Conference games will generally be in California while event game could occur anywhere across the US. New Jersey, Florida, and Texas are common locations.

Roster:

For the 2012/2013 season the ECNL season runs from July 2012 to June 2013. The maximum roster size is 26 (U18 is 30) and consists of 18 core players and up to 8 developmental players, 2 of which can be from outside the club (these are labeled as Discovery Players).

Costs:

For the 2012/13 ECNL season, U15 to U18 age groups, core players will pay an all-inclusive annual fee of $5500 (online and monthly payment plans available).

For the U15 to U18 age groups this fee covers all program expenses including club, coach, and team travel costs. This amount also includes residential camp, college camp and college placement assistance. Uniforms kit costs are additional. Each ECNL family is required to sell 10 raffle tickets during the clubs annual fundraiser.
