Ok, so I am not that long withdrawn from the coaching ranks and have no affiliation with SCUMP, but looking at the schedules today made me wonder who makes these decisions. Have we forgotten that this is still youth soccer and kids play the games?
There is a u15 boys game scheduled for a Tuesday nite at 7pm in Rock Hill. This is a game between a team from Mount Pleasant and a team from Rock Hill. Kids aren't out of school yet are they?
I am sure there is a reason this game couldn't be played on any of the 3 weekends available for state cup play or else this would have never happened like this.....right?
I know that the higher seed hosts because they have earned that right, but can't we see there maybe needs to be some accommodations made in certain instances? This game won't end until 9pm which will get 14 year old boys in their beds no earlier than midnight with school the next day. How about the game gets played in Columbia at 630?
In the words of Cris Carter, "come on, man". Y'all can do better than this.

ComeOn Man made me laugh.

I've been told that SCUMP is in Savannah this weekend and the DSC Coach is not in town the following weekend. If SCYSA really cared about the kids, they should play in Columbia since they both can't play on a given weekend.

For all our CESA folks:

What happened in the U16 boys group? Did CESA 97 Premier really lose to the #7 seed SCUFC Palmetto?
