My understanding, from a coach, is that non SCHSSCA members are not considered for the Clash. Maybe someone can clear that up for me.

Incorrect sir/madame. Per my understanding, the players were considered and given considerable attention, but the fact remained that the players were simply not nominated.

I'd say for someone who visits the board regularly as a professional coach or involved parent, that this is inexcusable for the coach not to nominate the players from March 17 to April 6 - three weeks!

Congratulations to all of the players and coaches named to the SC United FC, Clash of the Carolinas. You have been chosen to participate in our nation’s only interstate all-star event for high school soccer. You will be representing your families, schools, communities and state against the best NC has to offer. We expect a lot of you all in terms of being fit and well-prepared.

Please check this thread often as much of the information that we need to get out will be posted here or emailed. If you do not receive an email from me by April 23rd, I may not have your address or you may need to adjust your SPAM settings. Also visit http://www.clashofthecarolinas.com/.

Keep in mind that we expect timely responses. We have limited space for the banquet and in the hotel. This event will not cost the players any money (families are required to purchase tickets through The Battery.) We will book rooms for players. But, family and fans must make their own arrangements including hotels, banquet tickets and match tickets.

Hampton Inn Daniel Island
160 Fairchild St
Charleston, SC 29492
Telephone: 843-216-6555, Fax 843-216-6599

Parents, make your reservations now. Be sure to tell them you are with The Clash.

All players are required to attend ALL events. You will not be excused for classes, tournaments, vacations, etc. You must be there or you will be replaced.

If you have any questions, please email me at HHSOCR@hargray.com.

Again, congratulations on your selection to The Clash.
