MGoBlue100 Goal Kick Joined: Feb 2012 Posts: 132 Wren Hurricane Fan	It was my understanding that in Region play, there were no draws. PK's are used, after OT, to break the tie, correct? Yet on the Eurosport scoreboard I see a draw posted in Region I-AAA that has been there for a while, and has an impact on the overall standings. Who ultimately is the authority keeping track of the standings for postseason purposes? Go Blue!! Go Canes!!

You are correct that all regular season matches must have a "winner" and "loser" per SCHSL/SCISA rules. Therefore, a penalty kick shootout is staged after overtime has been played to determine that "winner/loser" despite it being a draw. The only draw that should appear on any varsity team's record are those matches from tournament play.
