Piggy-backing on my last post, I'd like to extend sincere words of appreciation to the soccer community at large in South Carolina. We all owe a debt of gratitude to those that have worked so hard to put the sport on the map across the state. I grew up playing soccer in South Carolina in the 1990s and early 2000s. The change in the game at all levels over that time has been dramatic, to say the least. I feel fortunate for having witnessed this growth as both a player and coach over the last 10-15 years.
It is thus hard to leave behind such a thriving community regardless of the circumstances of my departure. My wife and I will be relocating to Grand Cayman where I have accepted a new challenge as boys football (soccer) coach at Cayman International School. I sincerely hope that the connections I've made with coaches, parents, and athletes in South Carolina will extend southward as I bring what I've learned as a coach to a new locale.
Again, big thanks to all of those that work so hard to keep soccer growing in our state. There are so many kids that benefit from your hard work. It's been an honor to coach alongside and against so many great coaches.
