I was sent this image on social media:

What an honor, congrats to Cheeks! He must be one hell of a player to play with the PDL team coming out of High School.

I then focused on the #noclashnoprob.

My first thought was, wait, this guy is good enough for a PDL team and Limestone but not the Clash of the Carolinas, where SC was beaten 10234923842-0 last year? Surely, you jest. Since this was perfectly in line with my original topic, I had to come back. I'm a glutton for punishment it seems. I went to the data as any good researcher would do.

Nope. It appears Jeremy Cheeks was not nominated for ANY Allstar game by his coach. ANY:

So my question is, as the subject reads, WHY? Why is this tweet necessary? Logically there can't be many conclusions other than shameless self-promotion of a program and/or attempting to pass off an error by one (the coach/author of the tweet) on someone else. Maybe I'm misreading (doubtful), but I don't understand how you can claim #noclashnoprob. Is he slighting the actual Clash game? Or the selection? I don't see how either is valid. Rather, it should read something along the lines of #ICouldntBeAskedtoFillOutaSurveyMonkey #theInternetishard.

This original post is quite laughable for many reasons.

#1 original poster has made 5 posts which shows that screen name was made for simple reason to flame. Credibility lost.

Sorry mobile cut me off. The hashtag is an inside joke between me and Cheeks. You are correct, I dropped the ball and did not nominate him as I was preparing for our tournament and also due to the fact that I do not get on scsoccer religiously to do other than post tournament updates and post scores. The only reason I am posting now was because this was just sent to me.

What is funny is that you read the tweet and got it wrong (not doubtful) and tried to bring it here to create an issue that does not exist. I find it rather hilarious that you took a piece of banter between me and a player that I'm extremely proud of and brought it here. Like Eagles Futbol said, who cares?

#1 yep. You're correct. I made this account because my son was slighted when his coach was too lazy (or full of excuses) to nominate him. In my mind he failed to do his job in promoting his players who have worked so hard for the school and program. You remind me a lot of that guy. Even in admittance to failure, full of excuses consisting of things like "I don't get on the Internet." Fun story.

But, to me, my son, and the other sons and daughters who get neglected by coaches who fail to even adhere to simple procedures, is the real issue. When I found out what the steps were and found out that my son was not going to even be considered for a postseason award or allstar event because his coach couldn't be asked to pay the dues and nominate him? Enough is enough. I'm on a bit of a crusade to eliminate this issue. If publicly scolding you helps, so be it. Maybe someone else on either your team or others will get the opportunity my son didn't.

Trying so hard to scold the coach & can't even see that the only damage being done is to yourself. Looks like Toronto is moving on to the ECF
