so I completely understand the issues at hand here and believe in equality, but I struggle with this because I have 2 young daughters.
Unfortunately, we live in a world where we have to be cautious in everything we do. The predation that occurs online in chat rooms and such is widely known about but I am concerned that this issue will give access to public forums for predators who we should all be concerned about.
I do believe that I am overthinking the possibility that the few sick minded individuals would stalk my daughter and use the line that "I want to be a woman" as reason for them to be in the women's bathroom but how can I be fully confident that this isn't the case.
I hope someone a lot smarter than me comes up with a way to treat everyone fairly but also give parents like me comfort in knowing the risk isn't enhanced for predation.
