Interesting to see such low projections and movement in Berkeley County. I'd assume Philip Simmons would grow at cost of BE, Hanahan and possibly even Wando, SOA, AMHS, and others.

Pretty big investment going on up Clements Ferry for 'A'

I'm curious about some of the 2A distribution. Fox Creek and Silver Bluff as Upstate? Silver Bluff to Ninety-six is an hour and 22 min. Whale Branch in Region to Barnwell is an hour and 40 min. I mean I get that you gotta do what you gotta do, but that's a bit much IMO. Soccer side accommodations can be made by time start and so on. For football, yes it's Friday, but that sort of travel is ridiculous.

I'm pretty sure there's gonna be some appeals by some schools. Already seeing rumors that Berkeley is looking to move to 5A due to travel distances in their proposed region.

Whale Branch, no matter what region they're put in, is gonna get the brunt of traveling. They're much closer to Charleston than the inland lowcountry, but I guess with so many teams in that Charleston region they decided to move them to another region

Berkeley HS to Beaufort, Bluffton and Hilton Head is 2 to 2 1/2 hours each...we love our friends there, but man, that's a haul, especially on Tuesday nights when there's school the next morning. With the growth already starting from Volvo, I'm pretty sure the numbers will look different by the time 2018 gets here, much less by the end of the alignment cycle.

I am grateful to be coaching soccer with a running clock, though...at least nobody is going to be stretching the last two minutes of the game into 20 trying to come from behind by fouling every time the ball comes in bounds!
